The TCI servo replaces the standard servo that has the job of applying force to the clutch bands in the transmission. The TCI unit applies more force than the standard unit and reduces slippage. Installation can be done without dropping the oil pan or removing the transmission. There is little room between the transmission and the floor pan and the pieces must be removed one by one but the process is straight forward. For those of you who don't feel up to pulling the valve body and installing a shift kit, installing just the servo will firm up shifting and is fairly simple modification to do.
